nfl pension

Do you feel old school NFL players are getting neglected by the NFL?
They seem to have a host of medical problems with a small pension to cover costs of surgeries and medication. The NFL claims the small pensions are due to the amount of money the NFL made during the timeframes these players contributed to the game.
Without these heroes, in my mind, football would not be where it is today. Why does it seem so easy to forget and trivialize the pioneers of something great (ideas untainted by corruption and greed)? This is a great analogy regarding our country as well.
The NFL is just greedy. They make millions of dollars, but old player pension is only like $125 a month. They deserve way more. A lot of them gave up their health to make the game what it is today. Just sad.
